Michael V. DelNero received his PhD in Media and Communication from Bowling Green State University. His scholarship focuses on media convergence, new media, surveillance, cinema, and cultural studies. His current research projects focus on apocalypses across a range of media formats, and the modern American horror film. He is currently working on two articles. The first examines apocalyptic narratives through the lens of media convergence, while the second examines the construction of the so called 鈥減ost-truth鈥 era through an interrogation of the work of two key new media artists. At 色搜视频, he has taught a wide variety of courses, including Communication and Culture (COMM 228), Research Methods (COMM 224), Film History (COMM 310), Global Cinema (COMM 371), and Media Literacy (COMM 311). He will be presenting a paper on The Road and ecological destruction at the NCA 2018 conference.
