EarthView Globe – Training Sessions

By the end of the professional development workshop, teachers will be able to effectively integrate the 20-foot inflatable globe into their geography curriculum, designing and implementing engaging, interactive lessons that enhance students’ spatial awareness and global understanding. Teachers will create an adaptable lesson plan that leverages the globe’s unique features to address various learning styles and curricular standards. Teachers will demonstrate safe and proper handling of the globe for set up, program use and take down. Upon completion of this training, teachers can earn professional development points and will then have the opportunity to borrow the globe at no cost.

Giant Floor Maps - Training Sessions

By the conclusion of the professional development workshop, teachers will be adept at incorporating National Geographic floor maps into their classroom instruction. They will be able to design and execute interactive and immersive geography lessons that utilize the large-scale maps to enhance students’ spatial awareness, geographical literacy, and global understanding. Teachers will learn to facilitate hands-on activities, such as map-based investigations and collaborative problem-solving tasks, while effectively integrating these maps into their existing curriculum to support diverse learning styles and meet educational standards.
